Key Features:
Length:
The Recoil moves around the river much faster and better than all the short little spud type play boats due to a little added length giving it more speed.
Volume:
The Recoil stays on top of the water better and is less squirrelly than any of the current mid-length playboats too because of the finely distributed volume. The ends of the Recoil still allow you to tail squirt and get vertical. Plus its super stable on end, which makes learning new moves a real synch!
Rocker:
A tweaked rocker on both the front and rear make the Recoil bow and stern easy to get down when you want to play but, cleverly stop it pearling on a wave or while running rapids keeping it very predictable in the rapids.
Hull:
The Recoil has an excellent hull on it. Front surfing is nearly effortless in this boat and it's super easy to catch waves too! Still loose enough to spin with ease, and it has plenty of bounce to build up to bigger moves.
Edges:
One of the easiest boats to carve - The Recoil will swap from edge to edge in a really snappy and yet gentle manner. This gentleness on the edge allows you to roll with ease and also helps you try play moves in a forgiving enviroment. It's super easy to experiment in, and it's just more fun for any level of paddler.
Two Specifications, Three Sizes:
The Recoil is availible in two specs; Connect 30, the very latest in Pyranha's top end, fully adjustable outfitting for full on WW use and the Rapid + spec for those who don't require full on WW features and fittings. It is also available in three sizes, S, M and L to ensure you get the right volume for your requirements.
River Running:
Pyranha are no strangers to designing great river boats! The Recoil is no exception, it has enough length to carry you over the holes and eddy lines on the river with ease. The edges are predictable and help keep you on line and the deck sheds water when you need it to as well. The bottom line is that the Recoil is super predictable, making it one of the easiest freeride river boats on the market today.
In Summary:
The Recoil is probably the best all round river running play boat on the market. A solid river runner delivering the added ability to play every hole and surf every wave. Ideal for paddlers wanting to learn some new tricks without giving up their ability to get down the river in a relaxed manner. Recommended for all round paddling and play up to Class IV+ (Connect 30 Spec) and Class III (Rapid + Spec).
