DESCRIPTION: Click on the photos to enlarge them.	These are designed for groups of six or more people and offer a great day out on the river. Whether you are booking as a group of work colleagues or friends, we can offer the opportunity to enjoy the peace and serenity of the upper reaches of the river Medway from an open double canoe. Although journeying down river is the main emphasis of these trips, our river guide(s), who are all fully qualified British Canoe Union Coaches, are very happy to provide tuition on the finer aspects of Canadian canoeing if you wish. You will also have the chance to "shoot" the canoe pass at Sluice weir near East Peckham (conditions permitting) which will certainly get your adrenaline going!! (Not compulsory).
Many people's idea of the river Medway, is that of the estuary section as it runs through the industrial Medway towns. In contrast to this, the upper sections of the river where we run our trips, are one of the best kept secrets in the South East.
	The river between Tonbridge and Maidstone flows through the "Garden of England" and meanders through orchards, hop gardens and a mix of small fields and woodland creating a diverse and changing landscape. In fact some stretches of this river have been designated SNCI status - "Sites of Nature Conservation Interest". What is most remarkable about this area is just how quiet and unspoilt it is bearing in mind it is less than an hour's drive from the centre of London.
